watched more (blu) movies then ive played games thus far.
prompted to download upon boot up. I'm pretty sure you cant even get into the game unless you update the game
One of the characters from the story of Saints Row doing in the intro picture of this article?
Cant wait, a classic dreamcast title.
one long post to give us all recycled info...C'mon Pete the "more on that shortly" card has been played way too many times
get that warm fuzzy feeling that you did john. totally agree LIVE store is just as easy to use and still has way way way more content. I thought SONY would have atleast added a bunch more content for their store reopening.
In the end though, its just a store, nothing to be excited about. Maybe we'll actually start getting some of the truly innovating concepts SONY has been feeding us the past few years now sometime soon.
besides from the demos tab, every one i hit the thumbnails took about 30 seconds to load fully. kind of strange since the demo tab had the most thumbnails to bring up.
Overall thoughts... its the same store, which is a little bit more fluid. Still doesnt even compare with Live in terms of what is offered.
In the end, its just a store for them to try and sell me stuff.
In game XMB please!
has totally made me lose interest in HOME. Sure, I'll mess with it when it eventually drops, but I doubt I'll keep on heading back months after release. I would much rather have in game xmb so I can stream music from my computer to my ps3 in game like i can on my 360.
I understand that SONY wants to make sure they get it right especially going up against LIVE. Personally, I think SONY should have waited on even mentioning this service until it was much further along in produ...
think HOME will come out this week, as much as I want it too. But, all those who say it cant happen because they havent announced it publicly. Maybe they (Sony) would drop it without notice so their servers dont get over whelmed as much. Sure, news would spread like wild fire, but it would be mainly the harcore gamers who are on the boards at first, while the more casual gamers it will take a bit more time for them to catch on that its out?? Microsoft didnt mention anything about a video ...
I'm going to pick it up on. There are pros and cons for each system. at this point I think I'm leaning towards the 360 version. mainly for in game custom soundtracks and I feel I'll get more out of the multiplayer via 360 cause thats what all my buddies are on. I have no friends on psn. (If sony surprises us this week with in game xmb I'll pick it up on ps3 hands down/wishful thinking I know).
I will be in mexico for my honeymoon when the game is released however. So I'll pick i...
I totally hear you about devs getting lazy...and I also believe that single player experiences are the best for the industry. When I said Sony needs to prove they can hang in the networking aspect, I wasnt really meaning online gaming so much. Thats just one piece of the networking puzzle, just expanding the overall user interface and communications between other devices and people.
I'm not saying its horrible now either, theyre doing good things by improving bluray by addi...
I respect your point of view, that online isnt a huge factor for all. It is becoming more and more of a factor however. as an example, I love being able to turn on my 360 start a round of tiger woods with a buddy and by the push of a button bring up all my tunes that are on my computer upstairs and listen to whatever I want in game. Can't do that with ps3 in game. 4 Me as a gamer that kind of sucks. The ps3 isnt just a games machine. As sad as it may be, those days are gone. its a blura...
Good call bro...I love me some tekken dr online, but tekken 6 will be awsome!
it will catch them up to pace...not pull them way out in front. I'm not bashing, I have all three and am looking most forward to a lot of things SONY are up to. SONY has to make sure to get atleast in game XMB up and running and HOME wouldnt hurt either. We as gamers are all assuming both of these are a sure thing for 08'. We as gamers have all seen this song and dance before. Then reality hits and there are delays.
Last year was supposed to be the Biggest year ever for ...
The LG Voyager has already beat the i-phone in head to head review contests. The i-phone has its pluses and minuses just like every other device, it all depends on how you are using the device. Same thing with the LG Voyager, or whatever new product that will hit the market in the future.
I have points to burn
Bought 360 day 1, bought wii day 1 and picked up a ps3 on January 5th 2008. I hardly ever play the wii. turn it on for a few minutes here and there to play mario or metroid.
I had been playing both my ps3 and 360 on a regular basis. playing mass effect half life 2 and call of duty 4 on my 360. Playing ratchet and clank, unreal tourn III and tekken online also watching blu-ray movies on the ps3.
Unfortunately my ps3 died after 66 days (drive died)and it is n...
as long as the selection of flicks was good and HD was available. It would also depend on if they charged more in the monthly fee. If so I would just keep getting flicks by mail. only takes a day for them to come in.
were to come to the 360 and ps3 as rumors have speculated; will customers who already have an account with netflix just be able to plug in their customer info and download, or will it still be an additional fee on top of the monthly bill already paying?
died in 66 days from purchase. the blu-ray drive died. support was ok, but nothing great. the refurb unit that was returned to me has worked since, but is rather louder then my first unit. i can hear it from my couch. the unit itself and the drive are louder. still not as loud as the 360 however.
